Log In
1. Login with your GigTel Username and Password.
Key Pad (Landing Page)
1. Auto Answer / DND - Allows the User to Toggle Do Not Disturb (Block All Incoming Calls) and Auto Answer (Auto Answer All Incoming Calls.)
2. Favorites / Recent Toggle - Toggle either your Contact Favorites or Recent Call History including inbound, outbound, and missed calls, with the ability to select an entry to return the call.
3. Favorites / Recent - Will display the selected Toggle in Picture Label 2.
4. Dial Pad / Caller ID - The dial pad to be used to place calls as well as Caller ID Select which allows the CID of the call to be selected. Must be an owned number within the domain.
Recents
Displays recent call history, including inbound, outbound, and missed calls, with the ability to select an entry to return the call.
Contacts
Shows GigTel contacts and their current device registration status, with filters for All, Favorites, Enterprise, Phone, Private, and Shared.
Messages
Shows all GigTel messages to internal contacts, along with external SMS if configured for the user. Users can also create and send new messages and SMS conversations.
Voicemail
Shows users Voicemails. Can be sorted by New, Saved, and Trashed.
Greetings
Displays users’ current greetings and allows you to edit, replace, or create new greetings.
Answering Rules
Lists Users built Answering Rules with the Ability to toggle the current Active Rule.
Settings
Application Settings - Change application specific settings.
Devices - Adjust Devices Settings
Language - Choose Device Language
About Us - Takes you to the About Us on our website.
Privacy Policy - Takes you to the Privacy Policy on our website.
Send logs to suuport -Use this option to send application logs to GigTel Support for troubleshooting.
Note: Only send logs when requested by a GigTel technician. If you do not already have a support ticket, you can open one by emailing support@gigtel.com.
Update Configurations - Used to Update Application Configurations.
Test Connection - Used to test connection with device to application
Debugging Logs -Use this option to enable detailed error and bug logging while reproducing an issue. This provides additional diagnostic information that can help GigTel Support identify and resolve the problem.
Note: Only enable this feature when requested by a GigTel technician, as it may generate additional log data.
Exit - Used to Close the Application
Answer Incoming Call
When an incoming call is received, a pop-up notification will appear on your screen.
- Select the green phone icon to answer the call.
- Select the red phone icon to decline the call.
Transfer Call
There are two types of call transfers available: Blind Transfer and Attended Transfer.
To perform a Blind Transfer:
- Select Blind Transfer.
- Enter the phone number or extension you want to transfer the call to using the dial pad.
- Select Send to immediately transfer the call without speaking to the recipient first.
To perform an Attended Transfer:
- While on an active call, use the dial pad to enter the phone number or extension you want to transfer the call to.
- Select Call with This Phone to place the new call while putting the original caller on hold.
- Once the second party answers, you can speak with them before completing the transfer.
- When you are ready, select Attended Transfer on one of the calls, then select the Transfer icon to connect the two parties.
If needed, you can also choose to Merge the calls instead to create a conference call.
